Diet instructions NTTT

Proteins:
No meat or meat products, no poultry, except liver and thymus, only if organically bred.
You may have soup made from a bone (shank). You should remove the fat from the surface.
Fatty fish is good, at least three times a week, cooked, fried, steamed, boiled, even smoked, though not too often. Steaming is the best way of preparing.
Never fry in boiling oil. 
Fatty fish are: salmon, trout, herring, mackerel, sardine, sprat, etc.
Dairy products as yoghurt, cottage cheese, cheese and goat cheese are allowed, but better no milk or just a little bit. Buttermilk you can drink 250 cc a day if you wish.
Eggs are good for you, one a day, keep the yolk soft.  
Proteins from vegetables, like beans, are always allowed and good for you.  Also soy products can serve as meat replacement. You can also take organically grown mushrooms.

Fats:
You can use cold pressed vegetable oils, but only 5 gram a day, except linseed oil and olive oil, that you may use in larger quantities. 
Fish oil is also good, but not very tasty.
You can fry in olive oil or real butter.
Linseed oil is mainly used in the Budwig cream and if good quality as salad dressing with lemon.

Carbohydrates:
No sugar, no products with added sugar.
You may have a piece of pure chocolate (70%) after dinner.
Jams without added sugar and English marmalade are allowed.
Some honey is also permitted, but no syrups.
Whole grains  of any kind can be used in any form, organically grown.
Beans can also be a good source of carbohydrates.
Potatoes may be taken as vegetable rich of carbohydrates, but not every day and not in large quantities.  Alternate potatoes with brown rice, beans, whole grain pasta, sweet potatoes, etc.
You can also make soup out of beans.

Vegetables:
The majority of your food should exist of vegetables and fruits.
About half of it should be eaten raw or prepared in a wadjang with some olive oil.
Potatoes should be boiled with the skin, remove it afterwards if you like. You can fry them afterwards now and then.  Very rarely French fries.
Never use the microwave for preparing vegetables.
Vegetable juice is a good addition to your vegetable intake. Also extracts like ”Juice plus”  are good.
Most recommended are: cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, carrots, onions, spinach, beans, tomatoes, fennel, green and red  peppers, aubergine, radish, Brussels’ sprouts, watercress, courgette, garlic, curry, parsley, chive, green lettuce and many others.

 

Fruits:
At least three fruits a day, preferably at breakfast and after dinner.
Fruit juice just al little bit (100cc).
If possible organically grown, alternate with the seasons.
Apples are a very good source of many healthy substances, but very little vitC.
Oranges and other citrus fruits contain the most vitC.
The sweetest fruits you should eat less, like grapes.
Small fruits like berries  are extremely good.
Pine-apples are very good, also for digestion after dinner.
Ginger is most recommended for that reason too.
Never drink prepared fruit juice, except apple juice without added sugar.

Coffee and tea:
Two to three cups of coffee, pref. espresso with little or no milk. Cappuccino now and then, once a day.  Better use goat milk, if available.
Tea from organically grown tea plants, pref. green tea, rooibos tea and other herbal teas.
Black tea is also allowed, but green tea is better.
Surrogate coffee can be good, but not caffeine free coffee.

Water:
Drink pure water at least three glasses of 250cc a day.
Spa is a good spring water, not all the mineral waters are good.
You should check tap water on heavy metals, like cupper and lead.

Special foods:
Nuts and tropical fruits are allowed and recommended, if not contaminated with moulds.
Not preserves with candy. If  sulphured, weaken the fruits in water during one night.
Tropical herbs are mostly good, but don’t eat  too hot .
Alcoholic beverages are not recommended, except a glass of dry red wine during dinner.
Occasionally you can drink a glass of beer.

Seeds:
Seed germs are recommended for use in salads and on your bread. E.g. alfalfa and taugé.
